Fundraising News!

A massive thank you to all Pupils, parents and staff at Dance UK who have yet again surpassed all fundraising expectations and raised an incredible £1850 for Yorkhill Children’s Charity through the annual stage production which was held at Motherwell Theatre, Cottiers Theatre, Hyndland and the Bridge Theatre, Easterhouse back in June.

Over 600 boys and girls from 6-18 yrs performed to packed audiences of families and friends and the amazing sum was raised from ticket sales and a raffle at every performance. Proceeds from the sale of teas and coffees at Dance UK’s Annual Boys Streetdance Convention also added to this amazing total!

Everyone is now looking forward to Dance UK Live 2015 to be held at Motherwell Theatre on 6,7 and 8 June.

Dance UK have been long standing supporters of Yorkhill Children’s Charity having raised over £7000 in recent years.

Kirsten Sinclair, Head of Fundraising at Yorkhill Children’s Charity had the pleasure of attending a short showcase presentation on Saturday afternoon, which was incredible. She said ‘the talent was fantastic, and it is clear to see all the hard word and dedication that goes in to making the show such a roaring success’
